LEO Express, a Czech railway company, launched a new connection from Krakow to Prague via Gliwice and Katowice. A trip from Silesia to the Czech capital will take less than six hours.
LEO Express is a new railway company that offers modern trains designed by Swiss railway vehicle concern Stadler. Trains are low-deck, fully conditioned, aerodynamic units equipped with unique modern technology and interiors which are adapted for long distance travel. It also offers leather seats, Wi-Fi connection and toilets on board.
The connection is carried in two steps: first from Krakow through Katowice (Main Station bust station at Piotra Skargi Street) and Gliwice (bus station on Europa Centralna – KFC Rondo – Okrężna Street). Travelers go to Bohumin by bus, then they switch to a train that carries them to Prague.
The connection is held once a day. The bus from Katowice departs at 7:42 AM and arrives in Gliwice at 8:12 AM. Passengers arrive in Prague at 12:56 PM.
A one-way ticket to Prague from Katowice costs from 509 CZK to 559 CZK (77 PLN to 85 PLN).
