From 10-14th March the University of Silesia in Katowice will celebrate the Brain Awareness Week.
Brain Awareness Week will aim to promote knowledge of the neurobiology and psychology among school children and university students. Topics will include makeup and functioning of the brain, research techniques, mental illness, neurological and mental hygiene. It is the fifth time that Silesia will take part in this event. The plans for this year’s event include number of open doors lectures on various topics including: decision making in extreme situations, money heuristics, development of the teenage brain, MRI show up, and neurofeedback therapy limitations.
The latest news about the human brain will be presented in the popular science form so that everyone would be able to understand the complex topics that will be touch upon.
The Brain Awareness Week is supported by The University of Silesia in Katowice, The Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CNiBA), The University of Economics in Katowice, and The University Scientific Community.
