Between 18 – 20 May Katowice record breaking number of more than 8000 people came to Katowice for European Economic Congress. Organizers prepared over 120 debates with more than 700 panelists talking about most current economic and political issues.
Among many distinguished guests, participants had a chance to listen to Beata Szydło – Polish Prime Minister, Valdis Dombrovskis – vice-chairman of European Commision, Günther H. Oettinger – EU commissioner of Digital Economy and Society, Mateusz Morawiecki – Minister of Development, Paweł Szałamacha – Finance Minister, and Jerzy Buzek – former President of the European Parliament. Many global brands were also represented.
The 8th edition of the biggest business conference in Central Europe was dedicated to tackle issues like: the role of state in economy, emerging markets, climate change and digital economy. Conference agenda also included special plenary disscusions revolving around infrastructure, cybersecurity and energy.
There were also new events introduced to the agenda. European Start-up Days is an initiative introduced by PTWP – The organizer of EEC. The aim of this event is bringing together young entrepreneurs, start-ups and corporations. Around 2000 people attended the event.
